Thіs afternoon session will bring together prominent figures from science and technology, leaders from business and industry, and philanthropists supporting fundamental sciences. The session will focus on the role of modern mathematics as a foundation for technology, innovation, and economic growth.

The programme will combine short lectures about the practical use of AI and quantum computing, a brief overview of ICMU’s work, and a panel discussion on the interaction between mathematics, technology, and society.

The session will take place simultaneously at the International Centre for Mathematics in Ukraine (ICMU) in Kyiv and at the Centre for Quantum Mathematics at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in Odense, with a live connection between the two locations. This event is part of the conference “Mathematics for the Real World”, organised jointly by ICMU and the Centre for Quantum Mathematics.
