On Wednesday, 26 August 2026, a special session within the conference “Mathematics for the Real World” will be organised for the general public. The session will focus on the role of modern mathematics as a foundation of technology, innovation and economic growth.

The programme will combine two talks by renowned scientists, a brief overview of ICMU’s work, and a panel discussion on the interaction between mathematics, technology and society. The session will take place simultaneously at ICMU in Kyiv and at the Centre for Quantum Mathematics, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), in Odense, with a live connection between the two locations.

The session will bring together prominent figures from science and technology, leaders from business and industry, and philanthropists. We welcome scientists, students, educators, and all those interested in strengthening Ukraine’s innovation ecosystem.
